Sound

Synopsis

After celebrating her birthday, Eve, a sheltered and introspective college student, embarks on a chaotic 24-hour journey to get her hair braided. Her adventure leads to a life-or-death situation and a shift in how she processes her reality. This is the story of Sound.  This dramatic comedy is an exploration on communication, community, and healing.

A Love Letter to Home

This story is set in and will be filmed in different areas of Maryland and feature multiple local black-owned businesses in the area.  The majority of the cast is made up of up-and-coming actors from the DMV and surrounding areas. The story is just as much of a love letter to home as it is a story of Eve's journey. We would love for you to be part of making this happen and giving local talent a platform to shine. We currently have an amazing team of 20 combined cast and crew members working hard to make this vision a reality.
